Snapping Shrimp (Takla)

A famous local seafood dish. Found in muddy mangrove areas, known for having an oversized claw. It is typically cooked in coconut milk or stir-fried, and is often served as a snack.
Sun-dried bananas (Tinunlob)

A traditional delicacy. Made from thinly sliced, sun-dried bananas, each piece is strung along a coconut midrib, forming a lei or necklace. The slices are then dipped into caramel, made from muscovado sugar. These treats are readily available at Calape’s Markey, on Thursday.
Kinatloan (Traditional Cookies)

A traditional crunchy biscuit, often described as a local rustic version of biscotti.
